General Info
Are you VAT Registered?
Yes, Cherwell Oxford Ltd is a VAT registered company.
Do you have any trade memberships?
Cherwell Oxford Ltd is a certified member of Constructionline.
Do you accept credit card payments?
Unfortunately, we do not accept card payments. Bank transfer is our preferred payment method.
Do you have insurance?
We operate with full public liability insurance, employer's liability insurance and contract works insurance as well as holding professional indemnity insurance.
Do your staff have qualifications?
Everyone employee has relevant training and qualifications for the role they are carrying out.
Services
Do you use subcontractors?
Yes, where necessary we bring in trusted and qualified subcontractors to work alongside our builders. We organise and oversee all subcontractors unless they are working directly
for the client.
Do you arrange Party Wall Agreements?
No, clients or their representative are responsible for Party Wall Agreements. However, we can offer expert advice and help resolve any issues.
Will you provide a schedule of works?
We are happy to provide a schedule of works, depending on the specifics of your project.
What type of contract do you work under?
We work under any standard form of contact, such as those provided by the JCT (Joint Contracts Tribunal). We recommend the JCT Building Contract for a Homeowner/Occupier.
Do you work as a subcontractor on other projects?
No, we offer whole package services, where we provide everything from foundations to decoration. We find this gives our customers the most efficient, cohesive and reliable services.

Regulations
Will my project meet building regulations?
Yes, always. As builders with over 30 years of combined experience, we have extensive knowledge of building regulations and stay up to date with any changes, ensuring all our work is fully compliant. This includes the work of subcontractors.

Where necessary, we arrange building control inspections and make sure your projects is up to standard and compliant before signing off.
Will you be responsible for health and safety?
We comply with all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including industry best practice. However, clients should also be aware of their own responsibilities under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015 act.
